Noticed slow drains and a lingering smell near the yard, so I am starting to think the septic tank might be overdue for pumping. Been putting it off because I was not sure how often it really needs to be done or what to expect cost wise. For those who have had their tank pumped in the Greenville area, how did you find a reliable company and roughly what did it end up costing? Would appreciate any tips on what to look for and whether it is worth scheduling regular maintenance to avoid bigger problems later.

Slow drains and a smell outside that I could not ignore made me realize it was time to call someone. I asked a few neighbors for recommendations and found a company that was upfront about pricing. For reliable help in the area, septic tank pumping in Greenville, SC is a solid choice for keeping your system in good shape. They came out, pumped the tank, and explained everything they were doing. The cost was reasonable and they gave me a maintenance schedule to follow. Since then I have not had any major issues. It is one of those things that is easy to put off, but regular pumping really does make a difference and saves you from much bigger expenses down the road.
