I still think there’s an element of collecting. Of course, this mostly applies to Rust fans, but the game is really popular and the community includes players from all over the world. What I mean is, Rust skins are not just in demand in some tiny group. It’s like a collectible item that can increase in value over time and then be sold on sites like https://rustskins.com/sell . Sometimes even for more than it was bought for. So why not? If there’s interest and money, it doesn’t seem like a bad thing.

In cases like this, I just decide not to try to figure out people’s logic and think everyone has their own hobbies and interests. The main thing is, it’s not my money being spent on these skins, so I really don’t care.

I’ve heard about CS GO skins before, but never paid much attention. Now I came across another site where people are talking about skins, but just from the game Rust. And what’s the point? I don’t get it. Why are people willing to spend sometimes huge amounts of money on virtual images?
