I’m currently working on a small residential development (4 units, 2 floors each) and I need to present a clear visual to stakeholders. I’m torn between trying to model everything myself with SketchUp or hiring a studio. What’s the best option for something small but still professional-looking?

If your goal is to impress stakeholders, I think visuals make a huge difference. Curious to hear what others did in similar projects.

For small residential projects, it’s still worth getting professional renders, especially if the decision-makers are not technically inclined. It really helps them visualize the space and see the value. I ended up using https://www.genense.com/ for a similar-sized development, and the impact was immediate. After showing the renders at a pitch meeting, we got greenlit the same week. What I liked most is that they didn’t just make pretty pictures—they understood the architecture, the lighting, even the mood we were going for. It saved me time and helped avoid miscommunication with investors. Highly recommend checking them out.
