Beyond the basics, a powerful jira velocity chart can provide an incredible amount of detail for agile teams. We closely monitor not just the completed work, but also Rollover, Final Commitment, and Total Scope Change to get a true picture of sprint health. Tracking Added Work, Removed Work, and Estimation Change helps us understand how accurately we estimate and how much our scope shifts post-planning. Additionally, metrics like Not Completed Work are crucial for understanding persistent issues. This level of analysis lets us compare the performance of multiple teams and dissect problems or successes on a much finer scale. The ability to filter by epics, releases, or custom JQL provides granular control.
