How do saves work in games you don’t download? Or do you have to start over every time?

I keep wondering how I used to play all these browser games. They were small, with no real story, but did they save progress? Or did everything reset every time? How does that work now, if these games still exist?

I think everything just reset. Not that there was anything to save, to be honest. It wasn’t like a story game - just mini-games where you kept repeating the same actions.

I guess it still depends on the platform or site. There are definitely sites like that now, they just work a bit differently. Flash Player is gone now. I was playing hunting games on PlayHop recently, and if you sign up, you can even save your progress. But you can also play without signing up, and it’s all completely free.
