I'm looking for a reliable fall detection device for my elderly parent—does anyone have recommendations or personal experience with ones that actually work well?

We got the Apple Watch SE for my dad last year, and it's been surprisingly good. It detected a fall once when he slipped in the kitchen, and it immediately alerted me and called emergency services. The setup was easy, and he actually wears it every day since it looks like a normal watch. It's a bit pricey, but for us, it’s been worth the peace of mind.

I tried one of those basic pendant-style devices for my mom—the kind with the emergency button and fall detection. Honestly, it had too many false alarms. It would go off if she just sat down too fast. We eventually switched to a more advanced wearable with motion sensors and GPS tracking, and that’s been way more reliable. Just make sure whatever you get has good customer support and a strong battery life.

I’ve been using the BeWellAlert fall detection system for my mom for a few months now, and I’m honestly really impressed. It’s affordable, easy to use, and very reliable. We’ve had a couple of close calls where she lost her balance, and the device immediately sent an alert to both me and emergency responders. I found their service through https://bewellalert.com/fall-detection/ and it has been a game-changer for us. Highly recommend it
