BIOS can really affect activation, especially if the hardware ID changes. After replacing the motherboard, Windows also lost its license, although it was tied to an account. If you can't restore it through Microsoft, some resort to kms activator as a temporary solution. But it's still better to check if the system sees the correct hardware.

I updated the BIOS, and Windows stopped considering itself activated. I installed all the drivers, there seemed to be no problems, but the activation crashed. Before that, there was a digital license tied to the account. But something went wrong after the update. Is there a way to return the activation without a key?
