To fully explore Paphos and the surrounding area, it's better to rent a car — buses don't always go to small villages, and taxis quickly become expensive. I usually use aggregators to compare options, such as https://findycar.com/car-rental-paphos-airport/ with the keyword Car Rental Paphos Airport. There you can choose a car by type, price, additional options, and see if insurance is included or if you need to leave a deposit. For short trips, you can take a compact hatchback, and for more comfort and family trips, a mid-size sedan or SUV. A car gives you freedom of route, allows you to visit remote bays and beaches that are inaccessible by bus, and saves time.

We are planning a vacation in Cyprus and will be flying into Paphos. We want to see all the main attractions, beaches, and small villages. I'm not sure if it's realistic to get around on foot and by bus, or if it's better to rent a car right away.
