I’m curious where people draw the line between adapting existing tools and investing in something built specifically for their workflow. At what point do limitations, manual processes, integrations, or scaling issues make custom development worth the cost?

I think the tipping point is when the manual work starts becoming a bottleneck rather than just an inconvenience. Especially now, custom AI automation development can make sense when off-the-shelf tools don't handle a company's specific workflow or integrations. I’ve been looking into approaches like https://www.krastysoft.com/ai-automation for that exact reason.
