A hidden gem in Douglasville GA, where every customer arrives as a guest but leaves as family
At the heart of Douglasville GA, there is a small Louisiana-style Bistro tucked in a suburb of Atlanta called Gabe’s Downtown. A place where customers experience the kind of life that the founders, Gabe and Tami Toups, had while they were growing up—enjoying the company of family and good friends over a delicious meal.
”With our culinary perfection and love for our guests, you will come down here as a customer but leave as a member of the family,” said Chef Gabe, adding that they have been dedicated to serving their customers’ satisfaction over the years. Gabe and Tami, with the help of their dedicated staff, have strived to make every customer feel their passion for food through with bite.
“We present authentic Louisiana cuisine with a twist, a culinary perfection that our customers will love,” boasted Gabe, a brilliant chef who learned the culinary art ins his grandfather’s kitchen with the refinement of some of the best kitchens in New Orleans.
Described by reviewers as a place that presents the very best of true Louisiana fare, Gabe’s Downtown, is not only known for its delicious meals but also for its ability to create a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, where family and friends can connect while experiencing and tasting this Atlanta taste sensation.
Chef Gabe’s signature dishes are Shrimp and Grits, Cajun Egg Rolls, and Chicken Victoria, with Bread Pudding being the crowd’s favorite. The chef also takes time to greet guests and chat with them upon request, no matter how busy he is.
With two locations, in Douglasville and Villa Rica, Gabe’s Downtown offers lunch and dinner specials with homemade balsamic gastrique and beurre blanc, among others. This establishment provides its customers with the most delectable meals, expansive spaces, comfortable seating, and friendly service.
To ensure the safety of its customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, Gabe’s Downtown has taken proper measures that ensure social distancing. Apart from seating arrangements where enough space is allocated, they also have what they are calling COVID-19 hours, where Douglasville serves lunch between 11 am and 2 pm from Tuesday to Saturday and dinner between 5 and 8 pm from Tuesday to Thursday. On Sundays and Mondays, they are closed. Villa Rica also has a similar program for safer trading hours
“Welcome to Gabe's Downtown, where fat equals flavor!” Chef Gabe exclaimed. He guarantees his customers complete satisfaction.
