I’m in Turkey and can’t connect to wifi anywhere because they need a Turkish phone number

You could even do everything for free. Or for pennies. In situations like this, I usually use temporary number services that are perfect for getting an sms or a verification code, doing what’s needed, and then calmly using the internet. You can specifically choose turkeynumbers if the Wi-Fi service requires it and register without any issues.

I shared internet from my phone while roaming. It worked, but I ended up using a ton of data and spending a lot of money.

Even the Starbucks I’m at now requires a phone number to get an sms before they give me internet access. I’m here for a couple of days and really need to work.
