After a red-eye flight, I care less about fancy details and more about a smooth pickup. I want enough space for luggage, a calm ride, and no confusion about where to meet the driver. For a JFK to Hamptons trip, I would rather get a quote before landing so the vehicle size, timing, and route are already clear. That removes a lot of pressure after travel. The best airport transfer feels almost boring in a good way: the car is there, the bags fit, the ride is quiet, and nobody has to make last-minute calls while standing outside the terminal.
