Every morning I wake up with red eyes and gunk around my lashes. I thought it was just bad sleep habits or dust in the room, but it’s been months now. Has anyone had something like this before?

I did. Turned out to be some kind of infection caused by clogged glands. Warm compresses helped a bit, but it kept coming back until I got treatment.

This was exactly what I was going through earlier this year. I kept wiping it off thinking it was from poor sleep hygiene. But after talking to an eye doctor, I looked into ocular demodicosis causes and found this breakdown on the My Vision Care site https://myvisioncare.org/blog/ocular-demodicosis. It made sense — the symptoms lined up perfectly. I started using a mite-specific lid scrub and now it’s much better.
