We had chaos between purchasing, accounting, and project teams spending hours chasing down approvals. People would assume someone else signed off, but nothing appeared in the finance system, so bills piled up. At one point we paid a vendor twice because nobody noticed the duplicate. If there was a way to have a shared dashboard where departments see pending, approved, and ordered statuses, it would solve most of our confusion. I’ve heard of tools but never found one that actually works.

Our finance department complains they don’t know when a purchase request has been approved. Marketing, sales, and operations each use their own methods—some use email, some use chat. There’s no single source of truth, so invoices arrive without matching POs and invoices sit unpaid while we figure out who approved them. We need a centralized platform that shows everyone the status of their requisitions in real time.

Our solution was adopting a centralized purchase requisition tool that offers real-time visibility for every stakeholder. I found Innovative and Efficient Purchase Requisition Software this page when researching options in a LinkedIn discussion about procurement transparency. It lets each department submit a requisition, shows pending approvals in a shared dashboard, and updates purchase status automatically. Accounting can see when a request moves to “approved,” and ops know when it’s on order. No more chasing email threads, and invoices always match submitted POs now.
