I didn’t know where to begin either and was worried I’d pick the wrong thing or overspend. While comparing siding types, I found a really straightforward resource that laid out the whole renovation process for homes in Wilmington. It made everything clear, from materials to how installation should be done MA after reading that, I contacted one of the recommended contractors, and the job went way smoother than I expected. The siding looks clean, holds up well in storms, and I didn’t waste money on extras I didn’t need.

I went through this exact thing last spring. Ended up choosing fiber cement because of its durability, even though it cost a bit more. Vinyl was tempting, but I was worried about the look and long-term wear. My biggest tip is: don’t skip insulation under the siding. It helped a lot in winter. Try getting a local installer who works in Wilmington and is familiar with the weather and permits.

Anyone here recently redo the siding on their house in Wilmington? I’ve had quotes all over the place—from fiber cement to vinyl and even composite panels. I’m looking for something that lasts through winters and doesn’t need painting every few years. Any insight from someone who's been through it would be really helpful. Trying to make the right call before the weather turns.
