I first stumbled into momentum trading by accident. I saw EUR/USD flying after news and just jumped in because I didn’t want to miss it. To my surprise, I made a quick profit, but that “easy win” messed with my head. I started chasing every move that looked fast, and most of the time I ended up buying tops or selling bottoms. It felt like I was always late to the party. That’s when I realized I had no actual rules, just adrenaline. It was frustrating because I could see the logic of momentum moves, but my execution was all over the place.
