Hey folks, I’m on a budget but really want a simulator setup for home practice. Are there any decent options under $2,000 that actually feel realistic? I’ve seen some cheap ones on Amazon but don’t trust them much.

I was in your shoes not long ago. Most of those Amazon kits are toys compared to real simulators. I found indoor golf simulator and started with one of their entry-level bundles. You can grab a Garmin R10 or SkyTrak Launch Monitor kit within that price range, and then expand it over time. What’s cool is that all their components are compatible with future upgrades — screens, enclosures, even software. I began with just the monitor and a good mat, used it with my laptop and a net, and it still gave precise distance and spin feedback. When I saved up more, I added a projector and enclosure, and now it looks like a mini range in my basement. They also run financing and occasional sales, so you can get pro-level quality for way less than expected. You’ll get addicted to practicing once you have it set up — trust me.

That’s exactly how I started too — small, then upgraded later. Even a basic monitor setup can keep your game sharp between rounds. Just make sure to invest in a good hitting mat early on; it makes a huge difference.
