Hi everyone! I’m currently finishing my second synth-wave EP, and honestly, I’m stuck on the visual part. For my first project, I tried to do everything myself using Canva and some royalty-free photos, but looking back, it looked... well, pretty amateur. It didn't capture that "vibe" I wanted, and I feel like it actually hurt my streaming numbers because people judge the book by its cover, right?

I’ve been looking at some freelance designers, but their turnaround times are crazy—one guy told me it would take three weeks just for a draft! I’m planning to drop a single in ten days, so I’m in a bit of a rush. Does anyone have experience with buying ready-made designs? I’m worried they might look cheap or that someone else might have the exact same cover. How do you guys handle your release visuals without breaking the bank or waiting for a month? Would love to hear your stories or any shortcuts you've found!

I totally feel your pain! I used to spend hours messing around with Photoshop only to realize I’m a much better producer than I am a graphic designer lol. Last year, I found a great middle ground because I also hate waiting weeks for commissions. I started using Premade Cover Art and it was honestly a game-changer for my workflow. The cool thing about this specific site is that once you buy a design, it’s yours—they take it off the shop immediately, so you don’t have to worry about seeing your "twin" cover on another Spotify playlist. I actually bought a lo-fi style cover from them last month; I just sent them my artist name and the album title, and they updated the typography for me within like 24-48 hours. It looks way more professional than anything I could "DIY," and it’s much cheaper than hiring a high-end agency. If you're on a tight deadline for your single, definitely check them out. They have different genres categorized, so you can probably find something that fits that synth-wave aesthetic perfectly without the stress.
