Is it just me, or have betting bonuses in the UK become absolutely pathetic? I remember the days when you could sign up and get a proper matching bonus or a massive free bet bundle. Now, all these mainstream UK bookies offer you like a generic 'Bet £10, Get £10' free bet, and the wagering requirements on any casino bonus are like 50x, which is practically impossible to clear. It feels like they aren't even trying to compete for our business anymore. Does anyone know where the massive welcome bonuses went? Are there any hidden gems or international sites that still offer massive promotions for UK players without impossible terms?

You aren't imagining things, mate. UK bookies have scaled back big time because the government heavily taxes their promotions now, so they just don't bother. If you want those massive 100% or 200% match bonuses, you honestly have to look at non-GamStop sites. Because they have lower tax overheads, they can actually afford to give out massive welcome packages and loyalty rewards. I recently got a €500 bonus on my first deposit at an offshore site. If you want to compare the best active bonuses that are available for us in the UK, check out https://bettingsites-notongamstop.uk.com/ as they keep track of all the latest promos and sign-up deals on independent platforms. Just make sure to read the terms, but generally, the value there is way better than anything Bet365 or SkyBet will ever give you these days.

Brilliant info, the drop in UK bonuses makes sense now, thanks for the helpful link!
