Hi everyone! I’ve been trying to keep up with all my essay assignments this semester, and one thing that constantly trips me up is tracking the actual length of my writing. Some professors are super picky — they’ll reject a submission if it’s even a little below or above the required word limit. The problem is that the editors I use sometimes give slightly different results. I’ve ended up in situations where I thought I had 1,200 words, but after submission, the teacher claimed it was 1,150. It feels like I’m playing a guessing game!
I’m hoping someone here can recommend a simple, accurate online tool that shows the exact words count without cluttering my screen with ads or forcing me to sign up. Bonus if it works on mobile too, because I often revise notes or essays on the go. Has anyone found a tool that really makes checking word length fast, reliable, and stress-free?

Hey! I totally know what you mean — I went through the same frustration during my university days. I tried multiple editors, and some gave wildly different counts for the same essay. Eventually, I found a clean and reliable tool that made this whole problem disappear. Check this out words count It’s super easy to use: you paste your text, and it instantly shows the exact word, character, and sentence counts. No pop-ups, no ads, and it works perfectly on both desktop and mobile. I started using it for essays, study notes, and even my personal writing, and it’s saved me from a lot of unnecessary stress. Honestly, once you try it, you won’t want to go back to guessing or manually counting ever again.
