Which quotes actually “hit the mark” during morning sales meetings?
So here’s something I’ve been thinking about. In our team, we always start Monday mornings with a short check-in and someone usually drops a motivational quote to kick things off. The thing is, some of them really land and everyone nods or even jokes about it all day — but others just fall flat and feel like filler. I remember once someone quoted, “Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm,” and it kind of set the tone for the whole day. But sometimes it’s too generic or too “Pinterest.” Does anyone have any go-to quotes that actually make an impact during sales team meetings?

Totally feel you. In our case, it made a difference when the quote actually matched what the team was facing — like if we were behind targets, something that acknowledged that but still pushed us forward worked best. I remember once using, “Don’t watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going,” and it surprisingly sparked a short convo that boosted the mood. There’s a solid list of sales motivational quotes that helped me pick a few that didn’t sound overused — they’re great for days when your brain can’t come up with anything fresh but you still want something that energizes the room.

Just stumbled across this thread and now I’m thinking maybe we should start doing the same during our morning standups. Even though we’re not a sales team, I imagine a good quote could still work as a simple morale booster. Interesting idea, definitely something I’ll bring up next week.
