How risky is it to start Google Ads from scratch in 2025?

Is it just me, or has starting a brand-new Google Ads account become way harder than it used to be? I remember years ago you could launch a campaign, spend a bit, optimize, and move on. Now it feels like everything is under a microscope: identity checks, billing reviews, long approval times, and sudden suspensions with vague explanations. I’m not doing anything shady, but even legitimate businesses seem to struggle at the beginning. For someone launching new projects regularly, is starting from scratch still the best approach, or are there safer alternatives to reduce early risk? Curious how others are dealing with this reality.

You’re definitely not imagining it — Google Ads onboarding has become stricter, especially for new advertisers with no history. From Google’s perspective it makes sense, but for marketers it adds friction and uncertainty. Starting from scratch is still valid, but it requires patience, conservative spending, and spotless compliance. Many professionals now combine approaches: fresh accounts for long-term brands, and pre-aged accounts for testing, scaling, or temporary projects. The important part is understanding how account history, billing setup, and trust signals work before jumping in. I found it useful to read through real-world examples and explanations at https://adwordsresources.com/en/ it helped me avoid rookie mistakes and unrealistic expectations. No shortcut replaces good ads, but reducing early friction can save months of stress.

Glad to hear I’m not alone — this makes the current situation much clearer.
