Hey neighbors! I think I’m facing every homeowner's worst nightmare. Every time we run the dishwasher or the washing machine, we start hearing this weird gurgling sound coming from the floor drain in the basement. Last night, it actually started to back up a little bit. We have a huge old maple tree in the front yard, and I’m terrified that its roots have finally broken into our main sewer line. I really don't want to dig up the whole lawn if I don't have to. Does anyone know a local company that has those high-tech cameras to see what’s actually going on inside the pipes? I need someone honest who won't just tell me I need a full replacement if a simple cleaning will do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, the "gurgling of doom"—I know it well! We went through the exact same thing last summer with our old oak tree. It’s amazing how those roots can find even the smallest crack in a pipe. We were worried about the cost of a full excavation too, but then we contacted these plumbers in kingston ontariohttps://superiorplumbing.ca/kingston/ and they were fantastic. They used a specialized fiber-optic camera to show us exactly where the roots were entering the line. Turns out, it wasn't nearly as bad as we thought, and they were able to clear it out with a hydro-jetting system instead of digging up our garden. They were super professional, cleaned up after themselves, and the price was very reasonable for the peace of mind they gave us. Definitely give them a call to see what you're dealing with!

That is such a relief to hear! I was already imagining my whole front yard being destroyed. I'll call them right now for a camera inspection.
