Hey everyone! My partner and I recently bought an old Victorian weatherboard house in Northcote, and we're in the middle of planning some light renovations. Before we lay down expensive new timber flooring, I want to make sure there are no sneaky, slow leaks in the subfloor or existing pipework that could ruin everything later. The house is over 90 years old, so I'm pretty paranoid about the state of the plumbing hidden under the structure. Can anyone recommend a solid expert in water leak detection melbourne who deals with character homes and modern diagnostic tools? I want to get a full non-destructive leak scan done so we can sleep peacefully at night knowing our new floors won't warp in six months!

Congrats on the new home! Renovation is super exciting, but you are 100% right to be paranoid about old Victorian plumbing—those old galvanized and copper pipes can be ticking time bombs! Doing a pre-renovation check is a genius move. When we renovated our place, we actually had https://leaksrus.com.au/ come out to do a full non-invasive scan of the property. They used thermal imaging, dye testing, and moisture mapping across the subfloor. They actually found two tiny hidden leaks that hadn't even surfaced yet! Fixing them before putting down the new flooring saved us literally thousands of dollars in potential timber damage. They really know their stuff when it comes to non-destructive testing, so I'd highly recommend giving them a buzz before you start laying those floors.
