THE BIBLE SAYS:

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some
shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits ...  and
commanding to ABSTAIN FROM MEATS, WHICH GOD HATH CREATED  to be
received with thanksgiving ... " 1 Timothy 4:1-4

The Bible warns against seducing spirits that command us to abstain
from eating meats.  Did Ellen White have a "Spirit Guide that
instructed her?  She certainly did!  Listen to her own words:

"...the same angel messenger stands by my side instructing me in the
VISIONS  of the night as in the visions of the day."  (The heavenly
being referred to was at other times spoken of as "the angel", "my
GUIDE" "my instructor",  "the young man" etc.) Messenger to the
Remnant, E. G. White Estate, 1959, p.7.

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT HER VISION ABOUT VEGETARIANISM

          CAME FROM A SEDUCING SPIRIT?

This is really going to shock you, in 1882, a man who claimed his
hands were under the control of spirit guides typed out a book called
"Ohaspe, the New Bible". That 833 page book, which is a favorite of
New Agers and Spiritualists, was filled with instructions to cease
from eating flesh meat in order to have the companionship of holy
angels.  Here is an example:

"Verily, I say unto you:  ye have not fulfilled the first law, which is
to make clean your own corporeal bodies.  Because ye have stuffed
yourself with carnal food, MY HOLY ANGELS CANNOT APPROACH

YOU...Wherein ye will not put way flesh because ye love flesh."

Book of Judgement, XVIII, 11

What a coincidence!  Demonic spirits taught that man the very same
ideas that were taught to Ellen White by her spirit guide, i.e. that
through vegetarianism (Health Reform) we become pure and fit for the
"companionship of heavenly angels".

Before you shrug your shoulders and say "That was only the Devil's
counterfeit", listen to this:  It is a fact that personal instruction
by spirit guides and vegetarianism have always been indispensable
parts of Eastern Mysticism.  Today, those same methods are a vital
part of both New Age thinking and Spiritualism.  And yet, Mrs. White
clearly states that The gospel now includes Health Reform for all
those who were to receive eternal life.  One of the requirements of
Health Reform was to stop eating flesh foods --no meat --clean or
unclean.

ELLEN WHITE:

"The LORD has given instruction that the Gospel is to be carried
forward; and the GOSPEL INCLUDES HEALTH REFORM in all
its phases."  TSDF 88.5)

In order to be protected from deception by seducing spirits, all
visions must be strictly compared to the revelation of absolute truth
in the life and instructions of Jesus Christ.  Jesus did not teach
vegetarian health reform ...
