"BARKING AND HOWLING", in the spirit
"BARKING AND HOWLING", in the spirit
"Barking and howling", in the spirit, is sometimes being called a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Nothing could be further from the truth. Here is proof that "barking and howling" have a direct connection with HECATE, the goddess of sorcery and witchcraft:
"Hecate was a mysterious divinity sometimes identified with DIANA and sometimes with Proserpine. As Diana represents the moonlight splendour of night, so HECATE represents its darkness and terrors. She was the goddess of sorcery and witchcraft, and was believed to wander by night along the earth, seen only by the dogs, whose BARKING told her approach." Bullfinch Note #10
HECATE, the mother of witches, can be traced to the mystery religion of ancient Babylon. For the scriptures tell us that Babylon was the "Mother" of false religion and idolatry that has spread throughout the earth. Even today, witches dance and HOWL in unison to the goddess Diana, and they perform a ritual to evoke the spirits which they call the "Drawing Down of the Moon.".
"And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." Rev 17:5 (KJV)
In ancient paganism, The Mother Goddess was called many names including: Astarte, Ishtar, or Ashtoreth (Star) and "the queen of heaven".
During the time of the Apostle Paul, in Ephesus and throughout Asia, HECATE was called DIANA and was worshipped as the Mother-Goddess of Virginity and Motherhood.
People who find themselves howling like a dog can be certain that the spirit that is manifesting itself is NOT the Holy Spirit of God!
