MY MESSAGE TO AN UNCONVERTED JEW

MY MESSAGE TO AN UNCONVERTED JEW

You are a Jew and I am a Gentile.  Yet, if we go back far enough, we have common ancestry!  Both of us are descendants of Adam who transgressed a commandment of God. Since Adam's
transgression, all men have died because they have been separated from the tree of life.

Both of us have the ancestry of Eve, who was given this promise when God cursed the serpent:

"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."  Genesis 3:15

According to the law and the prophets, without the blood of the atonement sacrifice there is no forgiveness and cleansing of sin --even sins of ignorance.

"And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him." Numbers 15:28

My friend, even if you don't know that you have transgressed God's law, you are still guilty:

"And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity."
Leviticus 5:17

Sins of ignorance will condemn you to death and require the blood of the atonement for forgiveness:

"And so thou shalt do the seventh day of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall ye reconcile the house."  Ezekiel 45:20

"For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD."  Leviticus 16:30

My friend, since there is no High Priest to offer an atonement sacrifice for your sins of ignorance, how are they covered?   If you have no atonement you will be lost on the day of judgment.

According to the prophecies of the Old Testament, the Messiah would die for the atonement instead of bullocks and lambs,  He would be buried, he would arise from the dead on the third day and would make intercession for his people.

Will you believe the report of  Isaiah and the Old Testament prophets who testified of their revelation of the Holy One of Israel becoming the seed of the woman, the man of sorrows?

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

Isaiah 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

My friend,  even your rejection of Christ is prophesied:

Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Another unconverted Jewish friend wrote:  "Actually, what I have found is that he did not fulfil the prophesies and died  because he was a false prophet."

Now let us consider, with awe, that the Spirit showed Isaiah that instead of the Jews believing the Messiah was afflicted for their sins, they would believe that he was smitten of God because he
was a false prophet:

Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: ***yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

THE MESSIAH MUST DIE:

That Jewish friend said: "Actually, what I have found is that he did not fulfil the prophesies and died  because he was a false prophet."

On the contrary, THE MESSIAH MUST DIE.  If He had not died, he would have been a false prophet; because, he would not have fulfilled the Old Testament prophesies.  Please read this one of Isaiah that says "He was cut off out of the land of the living":

Isaiah 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

THE MESSIAH WAS BURIED:

Isaiah 53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

THE MESSIAH AROSE FROM THE DEAD

By Adam, came sin and death.

By Christ, The Messiah, came forgiveness of sins and resurrection from the dead.

Isaiah 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Isaiah 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the
transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Nathan's prophecy to David:

"And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.  He shall build an
house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever."  2 Samuel  7:12-13

When King David's days were fulfilled, he died and was buried. His tomb remains today.  So, these words did not apply to him; but to the resurrection from the dead of the Messiah, The Holy One of Israel:

"For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption."  Psalms 16:10

MESSIAH'S KINGDOM IS ESTABLISHED WITH HIS RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD!

David was a prophet, and he knew that a descendant of his would be the Messiah.  A natural descendant would have a lower rank than David; therefore, the words "my Lord" can only apply to the promised Messiah.  In other words, The LORD is the Father and David's "my Lord" is the Messiah:

"The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool."  Psalms 110:1

The heathen have many gods; but The Almighty God sent His Son to be Ruler and Savior of Israel.  The Israel of God has no other Ruler or Savior than the Messiah.

Isaiah the prophet writes:

Isaiah 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

LOOK UNTO ME, and be ye saved

Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Look my Jewish friends. With the eyes of faith, Look!  And fulfil this prophecy:

" And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall LOOK UPON ME WHOM THEY HAVE PIERCED,  and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."  Zechariah 12:10)

Isaiah 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Isaiah 45:24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

Isaiah 45:25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory."  Isaiah 45:21-25

Psalms 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Psalms 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
