MY INVINCIBLE CONFESSION OF CHRIST
Confession: 3, a profession of belief.
Here, Peter made the invincible confession of his belief that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God:
He [Jesus] said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" And Simon Peter answered and said,
"THOU ART THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD."
"And Jesus answered and said to him, 'Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal {this} to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades* shall not overpower it'" Matt 16:15-18 (NAS)
Jesus not only blessed Peter for his confession; but also said that it was revealed by The Father who is in heaven.
With Peter, I also say this of Jesus Christ of Nazareth:
"THOU ART THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD."
I ask you: if Jesus Christ has approved of who I say he is; and the Father in Heaven inspired those words, who can dare to find fault with my invincible confession?
