THE CARNAL MIND
THE CARNAL MIND
"... the carnal mind is enmity against God:” Romans 8:7
Most Christians today have a carnal mind. They are enemies of God because they have not submitted themselves to obey the law of God. (They have even rejected the Sabbath Commandment that distinguishes God Almighty from the god of this world. --the devil)
Here, Paul explains the nature of the carnal mind: "for it [the carnal mind] is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." Romans 8:7
Question: Why can't the carnal mind subject itself to the law of God?
Answer: "the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, BUT JESUS CHRIST AS LORD …” 2 Cor 4:4-5 (RSV)
Jesus Christ is **not your Lord** until you obey Him!
