WAR WITH THE SAINTS
Satan is the ruler of this world. He is at war with true Christians and wants to destroy them. Some commentators are giving examples of how Catholicism, Mohammedanism and Secret Societies have Lucifer (satan) as their ruler; and through the higher ranks of these groups, he manipulates the deceived masses of the common people of the lower degrees. His goal is to destroy true Christianity and have the worship of mankind.
This present world has two kingdoms. People who trust and obey Jesus are in His kingdom; these saints are under His authority, protection and care.
“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
WHO HATH DELIVERED US from the power of darkness, and HATH TRANSLATED US into the kingdom of his dear Son:” Colossians 1:12-13
All the rest of mankind is still in bondage to sin and are deceived servants of Satan.
Satan is at war with the saints and must successfully use the fear of man to implement his plan. Jesus tells us what we must do:
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28
We are blessed when we read, and hear, and keep these things that teach us how to overcome the devil and his angels.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelation 12:11
Look! This war is not won with humanitarianism, politics, carnal warfare --or revolutions. We are victorious when our faith has been tested and approved. When we are accounted worthy to attain to that world … where we will not die any more … and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. See Luke 20:35-36 ASV
The following verses make us aware of the great power and strength of our enemies --and they inspire us to rejoice as we ponder the omnipotent power of our King:
“These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” Revelation 17:13-14
