JEWISH GENEALOGIES ONLY TEND TO CAUSE DIVISION
The only two genealogies that are important today are the two of Jesus Christ that prove his right to the throne of David. Otherwise, Jewish genealogies only tend to cause division. Paul gave these instructions to Timothy:
"Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do." 1 Timothy 1:4
(According to the flesh, every living person on earth could trace their genealogy to Noah.) But, when a person has faith in Jesus Christ as their Saviour and obey Him as their Lord, they become a new creation; a child of God!
Let us get rooted and grounded in this chosen generation that is promised a future of peace, joy and righteousness:
1Pe_2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
