PARTAKERS OF CHRIST'S DEATH
PARTAKERS OF CHRIST’S DEATH
Victory over sin; over the world; over the flesh; and over the devil depends upon us being partakers of Christ’s death.
We must believe INTO HIM --not just in Him. Correctly translated John 3:16 should read:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth INTO* him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

G1519 εἰς eis ice A primary preposition; to or INTO (indicating the point reached or entered), of place, time, or (figuratively) purpose (result, etc.);
We are forgiven our past sins (justified) and reconciled to God through our faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission [forgiveness] of SINS THAT ARE PAST, through the forbearance of God;” Romans 3:23-25
The Romans had a practice of nailing a list of the crimes a person has committed to their cross. The Greek word for "handwriting of ordinances" which were nailed to the cross (KJV) is "cheriographon" which means - a certificate of debt. Here Paul writes:
Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
The Biblical concept of sin is that when we sin we owe a debt to God which can only be paid by the shedding of blood - our death. Remember the Lord's prayer.. Father forgive us our debts..."?
Spiritually speaking what was nailed to the cross was a list of all our past sins (debts) which are covered by the blood (death) of Jesus. We are forgiven our PAST SINS and reconciled to God through faith in the atonement of His blood. FOR ETERNAL LIFE, we must believe INTO Him. That is: we must become partakers of His death, burial and resurrection We do that by understanding that we were in the loins of Christ when he died --therefore, we died with Him. When Christ was buried, our old man was buried --and when He arose from the dead, we arose from the dead as a new creation.
COMMUNION -- PARTAKING OF HIS SUFFERINGS AND DEATH; HIS RESURRECTION; HIS DIVINE NATURE AND HIS GLORY
JESUS CHRIST: “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission [forgiveness] of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.” Matthew 26:26-29
THE APOSTLE PAUL: “Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” 2 Corinthians 4:10
THE APOSTLE PETER: “But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.” 1 Peter 4:13 “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:4
THE UNITY OF THE FAITH --ALL ARE PARTAKERS OF THAT ONE BREAD
“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.” 1 Corinthians 10-16-17
Hebrews 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Joh_6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
Joh_6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
