Depend on God 

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.  CSB

    1. Seek God's will & help - Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; [6] in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.  NIV
    2. Live by praying about everything - Philippians 4:6 Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  CSB

Mourn & Repent Over Sin (Frequently Mourn & Repent Over Sin) 

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.  CSB

  1. 2 Corinthians 7:9-10 yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. 10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.  NIV

Consider Others More Important by Serving Them (by Serving Them)

Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the humble, for they will inherit the earth.  CSB

  1. Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. [4] Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others. [5] Adopt the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus, [6] who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited. [7] Instead he emptied himself by assuming the form of a servant, taking on the likeness of humanity. And when he had come as a man,  CSB

Hunger to Obey More

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.  CSB

Pure & Devout Thought Life

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.  CSB

  3. Devout Thought Life:
    1. Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.  CSB
    2. Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.  CSB

 

 

Reconcile with Others 

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.  CSB

Matthew 5:23-24 So if you are offering your gift on the altar, and there you remember that your brother or sister has something against you, [24] leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled with your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift.  CSB

Romans 12:18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.  NLT 

 

 

Rejoice in Persecution 

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.  CSB

Matthew 5:12 Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. CSB
