Jesus Good News For Us (Expanded)

Jesus' Good News for Us

(6) Our Part: We Must Believe: Romans 3:22-25 “We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.“  NLT

  • John 3:14-16 “And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life. “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”  NLT

  • Colossians 2.6  "just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him." NLT

(9) TELL God  “I rely only on what Jesus has done on the cross rather than on my good works to save me. I repent and will live to follow and serve Jesus. Thank you for your adoption, help, forgiveness, and heaven”.

(10) Assurance of Salvation - 1 John 2.3-4  “we can be SURE that we know him if we obey his commandments. If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth.”  NLT
