Cloud9 Team On Edge Of Removal Just From MSI 2021 With Loss To DWG KIA
games

It's been a rough journey for Cloud9 at the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational and it appears as though that road is finally coming to an end.

More details regarding Cloud9 team position at MSI

Cloud9 defeated against DWG KIA team

Will C9 Bring Glory to NA at MSI? Cloud9 are nearer than being eliminated from the first international tournament of the year following their loss to DWG KIA. Perkz was acquired during the offseason, giving Cloud9 the North American League of Legends team the strength they needed to breeze through this year's LCS Spring Split. But it's looking more like even one of the best Western mid-level players won't suffice to end the shambles of the international success of North America.

LCS fans were devastated by the defeat to DWG KIA, even though there were moments that it could have been won. It wasn't the stomp that is expected from LCS against. LCK on the international stage. There were times Cloud9 could have regained control of the match.

Cloud9's initial position

The game got underway quickly, with a now well-known battle for the best scuttle crab. The result was DWG KIA receiving first blood. The fight gave Blaber the double-scuttle advantage he'd sought throughout the entire duration of MSI, but at the cost of his top laner's life and farm. The fight was a gradual descent into defeat for Cloud9. Critical fumbles in a few teamfights saw the chance for victory slide further away and even a 50/50 Smite safe in the Elder Dragon wasn't enough to win it back for Cloud9's LCS players.

While MSI started with a poor 2-1 record for Cloud9, they picked up a 3-0 mark in their second week, qualifying for the rumble event remarkably strong after defeating the reigning world champions DWG KIA. There were murmurs of this finally being the time for North America to show off on the international stage. They appeared nervous and uncertain in their gameplay during the first week. But as the stage advanced, the team appeared more confident. Will C9 bring glory to NA at MSI? To find the best advice, visit bettergamer.com.

Their star performer has been, surprisingly the top rookie Ibrahim "Fudge" Allami. Although his performance in the Spring Split against other NA top laners during the Spring Split was not to be praised, he quickly became an impressive backbone of Cloud9 at MSI. Jungler Blaber struggled throughout the event to find his feet. He went from an top-of-the-line performance in LCS to feeling lost on the MSI stage.

Cloud9's fate will no longer be in their own hands

They will not be able to make it to the knockout stage purely through their own victories. They rely on teams such as MAD Lions and PSG Talon to drop crucial victories to have a chance of reaching the next stage. PSG as well as MAD are currently tied at 3-2, which is the third position in a format in which the top four qualify for the knockout stage. They will face off at 2pm CT on May 16.

Is it difficult to get to the next round?

Cloud9 have a good chance to qualify, but they will need to win every single one of their four remaining matches and hope that the loser of PSG vs. MAD drops more than one video game during the final two days of the competition. Cloud9's next matchup will be against Royal Never Give up at 11am CT on May 17.
