On the Xbox Store, there's a PS2 game emulator
A group of skilled developers was able to manage hiding a PS2 emulator on the Xbox Store.
An unofficial PlayStation 2 emulator has recently appeared on the Xbox Store. The PlayStation 2, with over 1.5 billion copies sold of more than 4,000 games, is a legendary machine that will dominate the history books for a long time. Sony effectively retired the PS4 at 117.2 million units as an example of this. The Nintendo Switch is the next closest unit, having sold 111.08 million units, but even that is optimistic.
Moreover, the PS2's popularity has given rise to emulators. An emulator is a type of software that allows gamers to play games from one console on another console. For example, there is an unofficial PS2 emulator available on the Xbox Store that lets players use anXbox One or Xbox Series S/X console to play PS2 games.
According to the developers, they developed a PS2 emulator that is "resistant" to stringent requirements and filters imposed by the Xbox Store. It's cleverly concealed within the Xbox Games SDK, which is a software development kit for Microsoft's console. The emulator is treated as a game instead of an app on the Xbox console.
The PS2 emulator is said to provide a better gaming experience than an actual console as it allows for full-screen rendering, texture filtering, and more at Full HD resolution.
With the release of information about the PS2 emulator, Microsoft is likely to find a way to ban the app.
