Why just share photos when Keep and Share lets you share any kind of file?
May 14, 2007
With so many photo sharing sites around, how can you pick one (and only one) that does what you need for a business? The answer may be to pick a service that isn't a photo sharing site.
Keep and Share (what a nice name... reminds me of second grade) lets you post pretty much any kind of file online and select who can share, comment, edit, or view them, making it much more a workflow environment than a free-for-all photo viewing site. And that's what makes it right for businesses.
Keep and Share is another great example of SaaS (software as a service) directed at making small businesses more productive by linking far-flung work associates on the fly. It has lots of great work-related features like calendars, document sharing, notes, to-do lists, bookmarks, and blogs.
When you create a free account, you can invite colleagues, and assign permission, to some or all to access your account. This means you can have multiple projects in progress with multiple, and different teams working on only their own portions of the projects. Come to think of it, this sounds a lot like Lotus Notes, except that you can start using it right now without installing servers and hiring a team of programmers and administrators.
