How To Choose The Best Luxury African Safari
traveling

There are plenty of things to think about before you go on an adventure luxury African safari. This was exactly what I did the year before, when I realized this was exactly the type of trip I had in mind for my one-year-anniversary.

Safari's come in many different shapes and sizes and are not all created equal. This blog will be more about the indulgent side of safari. It's the safari experience that will leave you in awe as soon as your plane touches down on the runway that is private until you finally meet the wild animals you've never believed was possible.

If you're trying to decide the best place to go, when you should travel and what you'd like your safari experience to look like I would like to think that this can assist you in making the best decision for your own Luxury Safari experience.

Types of Accommodation

If you're looking for the luxuriousness of a suite with a private pool or romantic experience of sleeping under canvas in one of the numerous tented camps, you can be assured of a wonderful and unforgettable safari experience at a variety of private lodges in Africa.

A private safari lodge offers you the chance to experience close-up viewing experiences with a knowledgeable and experienced guide, fantastic accommodation, and all-inclusive rates.

You might hear the phrase "tented camp" and be thinking that this type of accommodation could be an upgrade from camping, but don't worry. Tented camps can be a luxurious experience when you locate the perfect one.

Although both game-lodge safaris as well as Tented-camp safaris each offer their own unique appeal I'd recommend a tented-camp safari if you have only one night. If you have a few days, I would suggest an adventure lodge.

Landscape

If you are looking for a place to live in your 3 day safari Tanzania, the most popular destinations include Botswana, Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania.

There are definite differences in the different terrains. In regions like Kenya and Tanzania where you can see vast plains that are dotted with herds of animals. It's commonplace to see wild animals in South Africa. It's still exciting and thrilling even if it's boring. Your vehicle driver/guide knows exactly where to find the animals , and when they find them, it increases the thrill of discovering them.

Also, you should consider whether your lodge is located within a conservatory that is private or in a National Park. Private conservatories provide a more unique experience since you are able to escape the crowds and explore the wilderness without having to contend with a ton of other vehicles.

Only game-viewing vehicles belonging to the lodges situated in the conservancy or reserve are allowed to drive across the property, and often, they are limited to three vehicles at any given wildlife sighting.

Compare this to heading out to see the Great Migration in the Masai Mara and then you may share your experience with 50 other vehicles at the same time.

The time of year

The Great Migration is active in Tanzania's Serengeti between November and July and in Kenya's Masai Mara from August to October.

Botswana can be visited throughout the time of the year, however it is most popular between September and Oct when the rainfall is the lowest and game watching is at its finest.

It is recommended that you trips South Africa during the dry season. This typically runs from between April and September.

Something to keep in mind -- Even the top safari camps in Africa and lodges may have an off season or less crowded time. Ask your Travel Expert what the differences are between low and high season - usually there's very little and you could get a better deal on your luxury safari Africa if you are capable of booking outside of the peak season.

Every person is unique and each has his own unique ideas regarding what the ideal luxury safari should look like. It is important to discuss your desires with the travel professional, so they can guide you to the ideal experience. With all the safari's out on the market, my goal is to help you get rid of any confusion and send you off to the adventure of a lifetime.
