CAST - STUDENTS SPECIAL NOTES
CAST:
Andy - Aladdin
Christina - Jasmine
Nicole - Genie (very energetic, but tends to lose focus easily and will talk your ear off! Try and keep her on task)
Diego - Iago(very energetic, but can easily become hyperfocused on not having a "big role" or "girls" - if he starts talking about this, remind him that we need to remember that this is a team effort and try to SHUT DOWN the conversation about girls)
Mireya - Pirate (can easily become unmotivated and will become agitated and frustrated when she wants to quit, make sure to encourage her to keep going. But if she starts to get mad, ease up and let her be because she will throw a tantrum. If she throws a tantrum, ask a staff member to come help.)
Gabriel - Ensemble (has a wonderful voice and has perfect pitch, but he does not speak much. He answers in short, hard-to-understand, exclamations. So if you ask him a question, make sure to give him options. For example: instead of asking him what he likes for breakfast, ask him - "waffles or pancakes"?)
Jackson - Ensemble (very quiet and barely speaks)
Steven - Ensemble (hard to understand when he speaks - his words come out like mumbles)
Becky - Ensemble (extremely quiet - encourage her to speak up)
Michael - Ensemble (very animated, but he will try to back-seat direct. When he does, say "that's a great suggestion, but I think this way may be better for _____".)
Luis - Ensemble
Emily - Ensemble (you will have to remind her to keep singing because she will stop in the middle of the song / and she can't read very well. So if she struggles with a lyric, just tell her what it is)
Ana - Ensemble (strong vocalist, but has trouble with pitch. If you see that she looks sad, don't ask her about it or ask her “what’s wrong?”. She will then wonder why you thought that and she will obsess about it. If something is bothering her, she will tell you. Just encourage her as much as you can and tell her what a good job she's doing if she seems down)
Stephanie - Ensemble (strong vocalist, and isdating Andy - she may occasionally feel sad she is not Jasmine, but remind her that we're all on a team trying to tell the best story!)
