Hello, everyone. I am currently working on a coworking space project, and I have a dilemma with the layout. We are considering using glass sliding partitions instead of traditional walls or fixed partitions. The idea is to divide the space into zones, but to be able to easily transform it for different events if necessary. It looks beautiful, but I'm concerned about durability. Constantly opening and closing partitions in a place where people will be actively moving around could quickly damage the mechanisms. Another question is how safe it all is. Obviously, tempered glass is used, but still, with a large flow of people, the risk of damage is higher. I would like to hear your opinions: Does anyone have experience using these in coworking spaces or large offices with a large number of employees? What about acoustics - is it realistic to hold meetings or make calls in such “glass rooms,” or will the sound still echo? And is it worth overpaying for brands that make such turnkey partitions, or are local manufacturers sufficient? I would like to understand how justified this decision is from a practical point of view, and not just from an aesthetic one.

I was just doing some zoning at home and can share my experience. We have a kitchen-living room in one room, and the noise, smells, and the fact that everything was in plain sight constantly bothered us.
