Tips for Saving Money On Prescription Eye Drops
While those of us who wear glasses or contacts are used to budgeting for eye exams and other vision-related purchases, many patients are surprised at the cost of prescription eye drops.
Why are Prescription Eye Drops So Expensive?
In 2016, drug companies brought in about $3.4 billion in the U.S. on eye drops for dry eyes and glaucoma, according to the research firm Market Scope. There has been debate for years about the way these medications are manufactured and delivered and research into ways to save consumers money by using smaller drops or specially designed bottles to reduce waste.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a clear answer as to why prescription Nevanac Eye Drops are so expensive, and until there are significant changes in the market, patients are stuck doing their best to afford the important treatments they need to maintain their vision.
Finding Discounts on Prescription Eye Drops
If you receive sticker shock when paying for your eye medication at the pharmacy, rest assured that you have options. There are a variety of ways to save money on Rx eye drops:
Ask for a less expensive option – First and foremost, if you are concerned about paying for a specific medication, speak up right away. Your optometrist and pharmacist have both heard this concern before and should be able to discuss your options, including switching to a generic or alternative treatment .
Compare prices at different pharmacies – It is a common misconception that all pharmacies charge the same price for a given medication. They don’t! Compare your Rx drug prices online to find the lowest possible price before heading to the pharmacy.
Use a discount prescription card – Prescription discount programs apply to Rx eye drops just as they apply to other medications. These programs provide you with a free Rx drug discount card ( or an app ) to show at the pharmacy counter to lower the price of your eye drops and other prescriptions.
Buy Nevanac Eye Drop online with lowest price at your door step from Online Pharmacy in Canada.

First, you should determine what is wrong with your eyes before taking action and using eye drops. There are a couple of methods that can help you identify the most common types of vision problems, check out this information https://myvisioncare.org/blog/clinically-significant-macular-edema-csme . This article helped me realize that I had clinically significant macular edema that I didn't realize I had before. I have since made an appointment for retinal laser photocoagulation and hopefully it will help me.
