Siblings' Visit to Jim and Jo's
April 2006 Part 5 of 5
Alas, good things don't last, so the Pittsburgh clan has prepared to leave for home. Lois, Jim,
Tom, Helen, Jo and Chuck. We all decided that we would go to the Brighton Dam area to
see the Azaleas, since it was right along their route home.
Here we are at Brighton Dam Nature area.
Here are Azaleas of all colors, and a beautiful stand of hardwood trees.
There are some white flowering dogwoods here also.
Oh, so lovely!
Lois, Jo and Helen
I can't read this, but I hope you can.
Jim and I took a nice walk around his neighborhood for exercise and chatting.
Look at all of these double cherry blossoms on the ground!
I Think this is God's way for making up for the bad winter days.
On Tuesday, Jim drove me to Brookside Gardens for a walk. It is one of the most beautiful parks
I know. First, there are all of these large stately trees -I should have included Jim in the photo
so that you would have a sense of the size of the trees. Believe me, they are large.
I guess that this is the brook in Brookside Park.
Note the reflections.
Praise God for his beautiful gifts to all of us!
Some of the more formal gardens.
Jim and tulips.
The fragrance of this wisteria was intoxicating. I did not want to move on!
More Azaleias. I think that the timing of my trip was fortunate.
Alas, it is time to leave Brookside Gardens. By the way, you can keep copies of any of my
photos in your computer by simply right clicking your mouse on the photo, and then clicking on
save to memory, then follow the instructions on the pop up window. I have kept these photos
large so that you could do this.
That Tuesday evening we joined Tim at a famous local barbecue place for a great dinner, then
back to Jim's for this delicious cake to celebrate my birthday. On Wednesday, they drove
me to the airport for my flight home.
