Yes, your first month was rough, but Isla is sleeping longer now and spitting up a lot less! Thank the Lord she passed 7 lbs. and you survived your first trip to Wal Mart with her and Gael! Gael has been really good with her and patient with you having to nurse so much! She is so precious when she stares at us with those big dark brown eyes!! As Lisa-Jo Baker says, "Any way you cut it, motherhood is intimidating....so moms might not know it, but they are the bravest of the brave for taking this risk. Against all odds, knowing that sickness, sin, failure, and disaster lurk on the fringes of every day, we choose to embrace life. We open up ourselves-our bodies, our lives, and our futures-to the whims of another human being, and there is no going back. And perhaps what makes this kind of everyday courage the most remarkable is how very seldom it gets recognized."

Just love all these pictures of precious princess and big brother. Those big dark eyes are really something and I bet you can't wait to start styling that hair. It's going to be so much fun watching her grow and learn.

Great job, Monica and Oscar on your progress in adjusting to having two children. I found that the first year was the hardest with two children. It is a huge adjustment adding a little person to the family, but it works out fine - just hang in there. It took some time for Katharine to become a settled baby. She was 6 lbs 8 oz. and nursed a lot which was great because we got off to a rocky start in nursing. Jennifer was our spit-up queen, and we had to be careful not to bend her stomach. These are precious times, and I'm glad you are documenting them so well. You have entered the adventurous world of parenting two young children which has the benefit of growing and expanding your skill sets, your faith, and personal strength.

Fun to see & read on this sweet baby girl. i need to convince my girls to get back to K & S. It really is a way to remember, like a diary.
