Yes, your days are long and hard, but it is wonderful to see beautiful little Isla smiling now and cooing at us!! She is strong and a little fighter too! She doesn't want anything to do with a bottle now, but she likes her "Mommy's Bliss" Gripe Water! She looks like you, laying there on her Auntie Christina's old baby blanket! O Lord, I praise and thank you, for you have done great things for our grandchild, and we are filled with joy.

What a precious little angel! She is a sensitive child , much like Katharine was as a baby. She is still in the unsettled stage. Considering she just became a child in this world so short a time ago, she is still adjusting. I bet by three months, or 4 months, she will be more settled. It is easier when they learn to suck their hand, grab their hands and feet, and take notice of toys, begin to be able to entertain themselves. etc. In order to eat a meal, I had to put Katharine in the swing when she was two months. She was always the most sensitive from 4 pm to 8 pm. But she discovered baby reading material and her gacky around 4-5 months, and was easier after that. But she was always sensitive. KAtharine had to be kept on her nap and sleeping schedule, and would become overtired if she missed her nap, and very fussy. She wasn't able to fall asleep in a strange place, even her grandma's house.
When Jennifer came along, she was very different from her sister. We could take her to an event, and she would merely go to sleep when she was tired. It didn't matter where. Easy baby, except she was a snacker when it came to nursing. HA HA HA, leaving me with milk truck issues. As they both grew up, they had different strengths and areas where they needed some help.
The first year of having two children was the hardest year for me as a mom. Next year will be easier for you, but these early years are intense ones, so try to enjoy the wonderful moments that happen, and it will work out but it takes time, prayer, patience and endurance!
