Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 Corinthians 13:5
The Spirit of Christ is not The Holy Spirit. When we have fully repented, and are born-again, we receive the indwelling Holy Spirit. Then, when our faith has been tested and approved, we receive the promise of the Father; the Spirit of Christ.
("Life is in the Son" It is not in the Holy Spirit.)
The apostles received the indwelling Holy Spirit here: John 20:22-23. They received the promise of the Father here: Acts 2:4
“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” 1 John 5:12
THE HOLY SPIRIT
"Here, Jesus breathed upon the disciples; they received the indwelling Holy Spirit and became a new creation:
John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST
Jesus told the disciples not to leave Jerusalem; but to wait for the promise of the Father. The Spirit of Christ is another comforter.
Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. ...
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
ANOTHER COMFORTER -The Spirit of Christ; the Spirit of the truth.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you ANOTHER COMFORTER, that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of [the] truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth WITH you, and shall be IN you.
John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I WILL COME TO YOU.
